The campers have spoken or purchased, and through that, Amazon.com has listed the best tents of 2011 based on the sales through the website.
The brand Coleman is the number one choice of many. It is the brand that has the best outdoor gears and equipments. Based from the reviews found in Amazon.com, Coloman’s Instant 14×10 ft tent is the best tent available.. This tent is big enough for eight individuals to fit in. The two-door feature is also an attraction for couples who are bringing their family along with them.
Then the Swiss Gear Montreaux ten-person dome tent follows after Coleman. There are some who consider this as the best available large tent.
The Columbia Cougar Flats II Family Cabin Dome Tent is another large tent to be considered. I’m not very familiar with Columbia but now that it’s in the list and a lot of people are satisfied, I might just try it.
A personal favorite brand of mine is Eureka and gladly five of their tents are on the list of the best available tents today. The brand took the fourth through seventh spots and the tenth. Eureka is the only brand who had their tents made the majority of the list found in Amazon. The Copper Canyon 1512 Cabin Tent for 12 persons took the fourth spot. There are a lot of individuals who opted for this in choosing a large tent. The owners of the fith through the seventh spots are Copper Canyon 1312 8-person tent, Sunrise 11 Family 6 person tent and Tetragon 1610; all made by Eureka.
Coleman is also determined to develop new tents such as the Weather Master 8 person tent; but there is also a brand Wenzel Kondike who is constantly on the rise with their tents. Kondike is trying to dominate the outdoor market with their new products.
Rounding up the best tents of 2011 is the Eureka power tent, another large tent from the brand.
Surprise, surprise, not a single North Face tent is on the list. This is probably a kick in the butt for the outdoor company. More brands are rising and trying to get to the top. It is not enough to be a household name because today’s household names maybe the future’s history. So, this is a wake up call to North Face…where art thou? You have made the best tents a few years back and the large tents that you made were so great.
Nice job for the brand Eureka. As for Coleman, they better develop some new tents otherwise Kondike might take the number one spot.
